STORE UPDATES  Wow!!! What a phenomenal 14 days of bountiful wheat harvest. A BIG thanks to the farmers; we appreciated all of our Stanton, Hamilton, Morton, Baca and even Prowers County patrons bringing us their grain. At Manter, we took in over 2,150 truckloads of grain, averaging 10.8% moisture and 62.6 TW for white wheat and 61.9 TW for red wheat. A total of over 1.6 million bushels of grain just at Manter! Each day averaged 154 inbound wheat trucks, plus outbound corn trucks and even railcars were loaded with corn. By 11 p.m. the scale operators were so blurry-eyed that all the account numbers and the trucks looked the same…so we apologize again if anyone took offense. About 3 weeks after harvest we got our bunker filled with red wheat and safely tarped, right before a much appreciated rain. Thanks again to all the patrons who brought us their grain in the 2010 crop year. If you are going to bring in some grain, please call ahead of time, so we can take care of you in a timely manner, as we are still loading railcars and pulling ammonia tanks.We have what you need at the Farm Store in Manter! We have Qwik Lift® hydraulic oil and Cenex Superlube® TMS15W40 Diesel Oil —also in drums. We have roll chains and bearings & seals. Keep us in mind for all your PVC & pipe fitting needs as well as your needs for spray paint, battery ends, pitch forks, and jig saw blades. Remember, both Lonnie and Rodney can make hydraulic hoses for you. Cleaning & safety supplies and hand tools are also on hand, and we can order almost anything else overnight. We also carry gloves, Lucas® oil products, rat bait, garden hoses & ends, and heavy-duty-filament light bulbs! We also have battery, solar, or plug-in style Gallagher® Fence Chargers, and a new fence charger called “Cyclops” by Taylor Fence, Inc. At the Manter Feed Shed, we have a great selection of a good quality line of pet food called PMI Nutrition® Red Flannel. We have wheat pasture mineral, colostrum and milk replacer, and a new wormer block called Safe-guard®; it can be fed to both cattle and sheep. Additionally, we have other feed for cattle, pig, sheep, goat, and poultry. Also see us for salt blocks, 30% protein tubs or cubes, and water softener salt. REMEMBER: we’ll deliver if a pallet or more is purchased. Keep in mind, Lonnie can also special order feed, bulk feed, or mineral for you. At our Skyland Grain Branch in Syracuse is where Orville keeps a bigger selection of feed, including BILLY ALLEN HORSE FEED and animal health products on hand, so if you need something different, ask Lonnie to hook you up with Orville at Syracuse.
